Why are Online Classes harder than you think?

Online classes appeal to a lot of people because of the flexibility it offers. When working full time, online classes remain the perfect way to pursue higher education, but it still is not as easy as everyone believes. 

Online school can be as demanding and exhausting as a traditional classroom. There are activities wherein you have to check in several times a day. Ultimately, it is still a matter of time management. Between being an employee and a student, we have our families and social lives to manage and when things get overwhelming at school, it is our relationships that often suffer. Things are not supposed to be this way, though.  Unless you really are ready to burn some bridges. 

People usually make a mistake of unnecessarily shutting down all social support just to get on with their academics. In a nutshell, your life is reduced to a program in hopes that you come out with intended results and ultimately, successful. But that’s not the case most of the time. Students are stunned with loads of requirements weekly that they barely come out with results enough to keep with the grade requirements. That is, if you are lucky enough to be in a class with a reasonable professor. 

By the time you finish your undergraduate program, your network is already reduced to some old folks, friends that are not, as people call it “high maintenance”. Why? Because you just didn’t spend enough time with your other friends.

So at the end of the day, is it worth the wait when you lose some of your colleagues or new acquaintances because you just had no time?
